Introduction to Ayurvedic Champi Massage

Nickole Thornton Gonzales is the founder of NW Ayurveda in Seattle, Washington. Nickole is a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner for twenty-one years, Certified Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor, Ritual Facilitator. She travels to various Yoga, Ayurvedic, and Massage centers across the United States, Mexico, and Bahamas providing Lectures, Workshops, Retreats, Consultations, and Panchakarma. Champi is known as Indian head massage, an alternative medicine massage that is invigorating, using a variety of techniques and pressure. Benefits of Champi Head Massage are it Increases mobility and flexibility in neck and shoulders Helps prevent migraines, headaches and back pain Promotes hair growth Improves blood circulation Detoxifies the body by stimulating lymphatic drainage Relieves sleeplessness, restlessness and insomnia Reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression Renews energy levels Boosts memory capabilities Nickole enjoys sharing her love of Ayurveda in a way that is applicable to everyday life. She looks forward to assisting you with Prevention, Longevity, Healthy, Body, Mind, and Digestion. This class will involve oil in client's hair, so please be prepared. You will need to bring the following to the class: Twin sheets Two bath towels (for under sheets and under head of table) Blanket Wear clothing that can get oil on it! Food and container for water/tea You will have a short break for snack/lunch. We will be using Coconut/Almond oil and each student will take a bottle home for practice. Ayurvedic oils are available for purchase after the class by instructor.
